About the property…

Chalet El Rancho is a sumptuous three-storey property with plenty of room for up to 12 guests. It has six bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The garden level has a TV room with a sofa, a table football table and a Nintendo game console. From here, doors open onto a covered terrace with a dining table and a summer kitchen, as well as a game of darts. This floor also has a bedroom with garden access as well as four single beds and a shower room with a toilet.

The ground floor has a lounge area with a large sofa, a television and a wood-burning stove. The modern kitchen has everything you need to cook for your group, as well as a breakfast bar where you can enjoy a coffee and a snack. The dining table is positioned to make the most of the view, and doors open from this room onto a furnished terrace. There is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room on this floor, as well as a separate toilet. The ski room is also located on this floor.

On the first floor are four more bedrooms. Two double bedrooms open onto a balcony where you can enjoy the mountain views, which have direct access to a balcony and a splendid view of the mountains. The other two rooms each have a single bed as well as a pull-out bed and share a shower room with a toilet.

On the practical side, Chalet El Rancho has a ski room with heated boot dryers and a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. There are several parking spaces as well as a car port equipped with a charging point for electric vehicles.

About the area…

Chalet El Rancho is in Le Villard, a hamlet just 3km from the centre of Samoëns.

Samoëns is located in the Giffre Valley, near Morillon, Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, and Flaine. The village is known for its cultural and architectural heritage, as well as its pedestrian-friendly centre and interesting back streets. Its lively main square is a popular place to eat, and many skiers drop down into the town for lunch before heading back to the slopes. Samoëns offers a rare balance between traditional charm and direct access to a wide range of outdoor activities.

In winter, Samoëns is linked to the Grand Massif ski area, which includes 139 runs across Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz, and Sixt. These range from wide forest trails to more technical descents at higher altitudes. The village also offers many winter activities, such as sledging, snowshoeing or dog-sledding excursions, cross-country skiing, ice skating and more. Samoëns’ great location and facilities make it a great base for those wanting to make the most of a mountain holiday while enjoying a village atmosphere.

During the rest of the year, the river and waterfalls of the Giffre Valley invite visitors to go swimming, canyoning, rafting, or fishing. The leisure centre and aquatic complex at the Lac aux Dames make a great choice for a family day out, whether you want to relax or enjoy the sporting facilities. You can also swim in the lake in summer. Lac Bleu in Morillon is just a walk or cycle away along the river path. It's a great place to swim and in the winter you can relax in the saunas around the lake. Children will enjoy the pump track and zipline. Hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, climbing and visits to the natural amphitheater of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval are just some of the activities in the surrounding area.
